Riichi.NL is an initiative by Martin Rep and Sjef Strik, who have organised riichi mahjong tournaments since 2000, such as the Dutch Championship Riichi Mahjong, the Cherry Blossom Tournament, the Kinryu Majan Taikai and the first European Riichi Mahjong Championship (Hanover, Germany, 2008).
