Riichi mahjong - the only way to play. Apart, of course, from Hong Kong mahjong, Chinese Classical Mahjong, Zung Jung Mahjong, Mah, and some 361 other variants.
And yet: the only way to play, for sure. In reach mahjong you can really play defensivily, but you also can attack other players and you can increase, or decrease, the amount of luck as much as you want. The announcemant of a waiting (tenpai) hand is a turning point in each game. And, recently, 'Washizu Mahjong' has giving an extra dimension to riichi.
This site is particularly interesting for Dutch players, esp. the discussion forum which handles all kind of (riichi mahjong) topics. But when the information is also important for those who speak English - e.g., if you want to participate in one of the Dutch riichi tournaments -, most likely there will be a translation available for you. Just click on the English flag
in the right upper corner, to check if this is the case.
And of course, if you have any questions: don't hesitate to ask us.
